I am a mortgage banker with 21 years experience. Married for 13 years, living in NJ with my lovely wife Dina and our two fantastic boys who are 11 and 3. When not doing loans for people, I enjoy playing keyboards in a rock / funk / r & b band in NY -- is great therapy for me (which according to my wife I need a lot of....:)
I love what I do -- being able to help people achieve the dream of home ownership is a huge perk of my job, as well as to be able to refinance if the market cooperates and try to save some money. Lending on a Nationwide basis, I run into all sorts of interesting people and more often than not we end up doing business together again down the road so it becomes a nice positive relationship.
We only do loans for people with credit scores above 620 (580 for FHA), so we have somewhat avoided the mess that has been going on the last 24 months in the mortgage market. We do mostly Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Jumbo and FHA loans -- specializing on first-time homebuyers and refinances. We are also an FHA Direct Endorsed Lender with HUD, which means First Choice underwrites, approves and funds your FHA loans. This can cut the time needed to close your loan from weeks to days.
We have a variety of fixed, adjustable and interest-only products available that fit most people's needs -- and our rates and fees are among the lowest in the country. We are a Direct Lender but we can also broker loans out if the rate is to the borrower's benefit.
